I came away from this Anime Expo with these things:

1) Cosplaying a bishounen is OODLES more fun than cosplaying a girl.

- Why? Because you a) don't get creepy old men perving on you, b) get to fangirl with other fangirls dressed as bishounen, c) are usually in more comfortable clothing and d) have an easier time looking cool. :< I know, I'm shallow sometimes.

2) LelouchxJapan. LELOUCHxJAPAN. LELOUCHXJAPAN

- 'Nuff said.

3) Masquerade needs a major major picker-upper. Too little people signing up, too many mediocre skits.

- HEY. GANG. YOU PEOPLE THAT ARE COSPLAYIN' NEXT YEAR. This is where we come in, heheheheh. I'm plotting. And now that three of us have the costumes, we're going to be nudging you hard for yours.

4) English dubs can be good - but only if the voice actors are AX Idol contestants.

5) The word "bifauxnen," meaning a bishounen cosplayer who is actually a girl.

6) In bishounen clothing (aka my Japan costume) I look like a boy.

- I got glares from the moms in the women's bathroom.
- I got invited to the maid cafe.
- I got invited to be "taken care of" and photographed with a nurse at the Trauma Team booth.
- Frequent use of the pronoun "he" in reference to me
- Frequent glompage by fangirls.

...I don't know if I should be offended or not.

Overall, good AX for me! Looking forward to next year, 110%.
